The next generation of ODBC Platinum Drivers has arrived!

Microsoft has refocused its efforts on ODBC.  It would only make sense that the world leader in platinum ODBC data connectivity would step up with a new release around ODBC's platinum anniversary.  Progress DataDirect Connect for ODBC v7.0 was made generally available today!  Included in this release are several performance and security enhancements as well as support for more data sources.  Here are just a few of the highlights, which we will expand upon in the upcoming Platinum Webinar:

  • Sybase IQ - including application failover
  • Database.com (in addition to existing support for Force.com and Salesforce.com)
  • SQL Server NTLM from all platforms - including Linux and UNIX
  • New installer-driven branding - eliminating the need for our partners to download branding kits

In addition to best-in-class bulk load functionality, application failover, and connection pooling, Platinum ODBC driver connectivity allows a much higher volume of throughput, more efficient use of memory, and fewer CPU cycles.

Our list of updated database versions include the following:

  • Greenplum 5.1
  • Teradata 14
  • PostgreSQL 9.1

See how you can connect to multiple versions of multiple databases with just this one version of ODBC.  And then go ahead and download a free evaluation copy!
