A Busy Week at Cloud Expo

November is here, and we’re getting ready for an exciting Cloud Expo show in Santa Clara next week. DataDirect is participating in a big way this year, with a general session hosted by VP and business line manager Michael Benedict and four technical sessions examining different aspects of the cloud and data connectivity. In addition, Dr. John Bates, CTO of Progress Software, will be presenting a Keynote on day three of the conference.

We’re also going to be on the show floor at booth number 409. If you’re planning to attend, stop by and check out the news on our latest DataDirect offering as well as some old favorites, and be sure to catch a session or two. Here’s the activity line-up:

November 6th

Freeing Cloud Data – SQL for SaaS. Presented by Jaime Meritt, director of product management, and Jesse Davis, director of research and development, at 8:15am in the general session room, ballroom A-H.

The Impact of Big Data and Cloud on Data Connectivity. Presented by Jaime Meritt, director of product management, and Jesse Davis, director of research and development, at 9:55am in the general session room, ballroom A-H.

Case Study: Leveraging Premium Connectivity to Simplify and Speed up Data Access. Presented David Shugars, senior software engineer, Plex Systems (DataDirect client), at 6:10pm in the Steven’s Creek Room.

November 7th

Cloud Applications: Some Assembly Required. Presented by Dr. John Bates, CTO, Progress Software, at 9:05am in the general session room – ballroom A-H.

Big Data Alchemy – Turning Big Iron into Gold! Presented by Gordon Crenshaw, senior solutions consultant, at 5:10pm in the M3 Room.

November 8th

Cloud Data – Right Here, Right Now in Real-Time. Presented by Sumit Sarkar, senior solutions consultant, and Paul Griffin, senior manager, sales enablement, at 1:40pm in the M1 Room.
